Waterbury Hospital Speakers Series Offers Classes on
Advanced Directives/Living Wills and Alzheimer’s Disease

offered on March 17 and March 18
WATERBURY—The
Waterbury Hospital It’s All About You Spring
Speakers Series is offering two free health and wellness
presentations in March that are open to the public.
The first event will be held
Wednesday, March 17 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the
Bizzorero Conference Room at the hospital. “Advanced
Directives, Living Wills and Powers of Attorney” will be
presented by Vincent A. Liberti, Jr., a Partner at Pepe
& Hazard LLP. The seminar will discuss estate
planning, will preparation and important information on
Powers of Attorney and advance directives.
The second
educational offering, “Alzheimer’s and Other Dementing
Illnesses,” will be held in the Bizzorero Conference
Room on Thursday, March 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Charles Atkins, MD, of Waterbury Hospital’s
Behavioral Health Department, will
provide an overview of Alzheimer’s and other dementing
illnesses. Dr Atkins will also discuss the emotional,
medical, spiritual and legal aspects involved in these
diseases.
